Multiphase Heat Transfer and Flow can also be used to teach contemporary and novel applications of heat and mass transfer. Concepts are reinforced with numerous examples and end-of-chapter problems. About the Authors

Amir Faghri is currently a Distinguished Professor of Engineering and Distinguished Dean Emeritus of Engineering at the University of Connecticut. He has also served on the board of directors of both public and private companies. As a principal investigator conducting research in heat and mass transfer, he has received numerous external research contracts from the National Science Foundation, National Aeronautics & Space Administration, Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and various industrial companies. Dr. Faghri''s technical productivity is further complemented by his service on the editorial boards of eight scientific journals. Dr. Faghri has received several major honors and awards, including the 1998 American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA) Thermophysics Award, the 1998 American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Heat Transfer Memorial Award, the 2005 ASME James Harry Potter Gold Medal, and 2010 ASME/AICHE Max Jakob Memorial Award.

Yuwen Zhang is a professor of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Missouri (MU). His research interest lies in the area of heat and mass transfer and its applications in manufacturing, thermal management, and energy systems. He is the co-editor in chief for Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer and an associate editor for ASME Journal of Heat Transfer. He is the recipient of many awards, including the Young Investigator Award from the Office of Naval Research (ONR; 2002), the MU Chancellor''s Award for Outstanding Research and Creative Activity (2010), and the MU College of Engineering Senior Faculty Research Award (2010). He was elected as a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in 2007, and a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in 2015.
